Pullmantur Cruises - Monarch

Much more than just a ship…A genuine colossus of the seas

The Monarch is the largest of Pullmantur’s cruise liners since it became part of the fleet. Following its refurbishment it can accommodate 2766 passengers. What’s most noticeable is the ship’s twelve decks which house a vast array of amenities and facilities to help make yours an unforgettable trip.

It has twelve decks, among which are spread many beautifully restored areas that are home to restaurants, buffets, bars and cafes. Entertainment facilities include a large theatre and casino. For sport and relaxation the ship also offers its guests a spa, swimming pools, beauty centre and gym. You’ll also be able to catch-up with any duty-free shopping at one of the many shops.

It houses every kind of facility imaginable shared across its twelve decks including a la carte restaurants, buffets, bars, large modern casino, theatre, games room, gym, spa and spacious beauty salon. There are spacious restaurants and buffets, gorgeous bars and cafes, a magnificent theatre, casino, spa and modern beauty salon. Of course there are also tranquil swimming pools and duty free shopping onboard.

You’ll feel just like you’re staying in a five star hotel at sea onboard the Monarch. Among the ship’s facilities you’ll be able to enjoy the basketball court, theatre, nightclub, gym, spa, beauty salon, restaurants, swimming pools, jacuzzis, stunning terraces and even a climbing wall to help relieve your stresses and where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views from the highest part of the ship.

Cruising the Caribbean Sea onboard The Monarch will be an adventure like no other, a trip full of constant surprises and a feast for your eyes. It’s without doubt one of the most comfortable ships with a congenial atmosphere, perfect for your first cruise. The boat’s comforts and sheer range of services will leap out at you as soon as you board. We at Grupo Pullmantur are sure that The Monarch will quickly feel like your second home, even if it’s for just a few days. When the ship was first built in France in 1991, the Monarch had a total weight of 73,941 tonnes, making it one of the largest cruise liners in the world. The figures don’t lie, with the ship capable of accommodating 2766 passengers it’s like a floating city, loaded with all the amenities and facilities at your disposal as it glides around world’s seas and oceans.

As if this wasn’t enough The Monarch also boasts two shuffleboard courts and a spectacular seven-floor atrium with marble staircases surrounded by boutiques, shops and salons for your every need. Afterwards you’ll be able to take a quick dip in one of the salt water swimming pools on the main deck.

The boat’s refurbishment offers large open spaces, home to Asian fusion restaurants and self-service buffets where you can sample a range of different dishes luxuriously crafted by the Grupo Pullmantur’s very own expert chefs. Close-by you’ll find a nightclub, conference centres, fitness suites and a supervised children’s area so that even the youngest members of your family can enjoy all themselves onboard. Interestingly, in 2007 The Monarch became the first ship of its kind in the world to be captained by a women, the Swedish captain Karin Stahre Janson.
